Get to know Daedalus.
Capabilities, credits, collaboration, and what to expect.
What can I do with Daedalus?
A collaborative engineering workspace for utility substations and protection/control, with Daedalus as your AI Engineering Architect. Work with selected drawings and project data, prepare changes, and produce artifacts for engineer review.
Who is Daedalus?
Daedalus is your AI Engineering Architect at daedalus-ai.app. Ask about selected drawings and data, review source evidence, and prepare proposed changes. Analysis, actions and recommendations sit alongside your project work, with engineers deciding which revisions to accept.
Which files can I work with?
Read and generate supported native DWG and DXF drawings, view PDFs, inspect and revise XLSX workbooks, and work with Word and text documents. Supported 2D DWF sheets can be viewed and converted to editable SVG with the local reader; native DWF export is not available.
Can I watch the work happen?
Yes. Keep one or two viewers open while you work. Follow schematic activity and generated revisions, or pin a baseline. Working assemblies preview block placement and terminal-bound routes as you edit.
Can I work with Daedalus across my project?
Yes. Daedalus uses bounded source excerpts and project records, shows context sources, and estimates maximum credit usage before sending. The visual project graph links drawings, workflows, runs, deliverables, assemblies and recorded terminal references. It does not infer or certify electrical connectivity.
Can I use our client’s blocks and standards?
Yes. Map supported static 2D client blocks to generic equipment, named terminals and attributes. Versioned client checks and connection specifications carry into your project workflow. AutoCAD Electrical features and full drawing fidelity require compatibility review.
How much does it cost?
Trial is free with 500 one-time credits. Standard is $199/month for up to 3 users and 10,000 credits. Pro is $699/month for up to 10 users and 40,000 credits. Enterprise pricing and regional deployment requirements are agreed with sales. Prices are USD, before applicable tax; any dedicated infrastructure charges must be agreed before activation.
How do credits work?
Credits are pooled across your customer account. One credit represents $0.01 of usage allowance. Model calls consume credits at twice the configured provider cost, rounded up, plus processing fees. Runs reserve a maximum budget before starting and settle actual usage afterward. An agent’s per-run cap limits spending. Credits are not cash or a guarantee of a fixed number of runs.
Can I purchase more credits?
Yes. An administrator can buy one-time packs in Usage & credits through Stripe: 2,500 credits for $25, 10,000 for $100, or 50,000 for $500 USD, before applicable tax. Credits are shared across your account and appear after payment confirmation. Packs do not change your plan limits. Trial accounts and active subscribers can purchase; inactive subscribers must reactivate first. There is no automatic refill.
What happens when credits run out?
A run cannot start without enough credits for its reservation. There is no automatic overage charge. An administrator can purchase a credit pack through Stripe. Monthly paid invoices add the plan allowance; unused credits carry forward while the subscription remains active. On cancellation, remaining credits are retained but paid execution stops when the subscription ends.
Can I cancel?
An account administrator can open Manage subscription from Usage & credits to cancel through Stripe, update payment details, and view invoices. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period. You can still sign in and download existing artifacts afterward.
Is everything ready immediately after sign-up?
Clerk handles identity creation. Dedicated customer environments must be provisioned and linked to an approved owner or invitation before engineering access and billing activation. Sign-up records your chosen tier so our team can arrange access.
Does Daedalus approve engineering designs?
No. Outputs are drafts for qualified engineering review. The app does not establish a complete protection design, verify protection settings, or certify compliance.
Where is my data stored?
Engineering files and processing use your dedicated regional service. Vercel serves the website interface. Clerk manages identity and Stripe manages billing under their own service terms; their metadata is not covered by the engineering-storage boundary. Region, backups, retention and model processing must be agreed and verified for your deployment.
How do Enterprise and SSO work?
Enterprise provides contracted credits, unlimited plan seats/workflows/agents, and administrator controls. Execution remains bounded by credits and configured concurrency. Pro and Enterprise support company SSO when configured with your identity provider. Contact sales to confirm SSO, infrastructure and deployment requirements.
